No Way Out

I was at the Thorpe Park rollercoaster theme park recently and encountered a ride called ‘X – No Way Out!’

It’s a rollercoaster ride which takes place in darkness, where the cars ride backwards. And there is no way out.

I was reminded of this ride today, by Detlev Schlichter’s piece on the ECB’s continuing ‘expansion of its balance sheet’ (a.k.a. printing money).
